Invitation for meet-up ‘Building Peace Through Dialogue’, 12 November in Tallinn

We invite you for the presentation of the results of our international Teach Peace project, introducing a training programme and materials for educators. Teach Peace focuses on advancing dialogue and peacebuilding through adult education. The meet-up will take place on Thursday 12th of November from 14:00 till 16:30 at Vabamu Museum in Tallinn.

During this interactive afternoon you can familiarise yourself with the Training Programme, a supporting Guidebook for trainers and teachers, and Ready-to-use activities. We have developed these materials for peace educators, adult educators, trainers and teachers working with adults in different contexts, like formal, non-formal education and in communities. You will be able to explore the materials and test these activities yourself.

Current times

We will start with a reflection on peace education in the current times of internal and international tensions and challenges. Our guest is Anna Sidorova.

Anna Sidorova is a Finland-based facilitator and trainer who works with the Finnish Dialogue Academy. After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, she started organising dialogues for Russian speakers living in Finland. Later they were joined by refugees from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

About Teach Peace

Our focus in Teach Peace is promoting peace in everyday life: working with knowledge, specific skills and attitudes that help to build a culture of peace. The Teach Peace project brings together partners from Finland, Poland, Estonia, Austria, and Ukraine to create educational tools and methods that help adult educators strengthen learners’ dialogue and cooperation skills. All the materials are available in five languages. More information about Teach Peace at our project page or via www.teachpeace.info.
